Cherry Hill Imports......
Anyone know anything about the red pre-owned Spyder there? It's been in an accident and has had some front end paintwork. I'm waiting to see the invoice from the repair shop tomorrow. Supposedly a "Porsche approved" shop.
Also, anyone know a good place or person for PPI in the area?

Looks a little like mine but without the painted intakes, burmester, lwbs, or painted pcm. These cars look amazing in red imho. I would try to negotiate 5-10% off if possible. Good luck and let us know if you buy it. Did you test drive it? What were your thoughts?

So, if I can get a discount of x% you don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with going for it, assuming the repair was done right?

Right now, AutoCheck shows an accident. CarFax is clean so far. But CarFax can be slow to report accidents.
Once you own a car with a history of accident, the desirability of the car is diminished. IMO, this can amount to more than 5-10%.
At least for me, if I see a $100k sports car with a bad CarFax, the car will have to be south of $90k in order to entice me.

Way lower, there are too many buyers at that price point that will not buy a damaged car. I think you should walk, look for a mint, no story car...well unless you plan to mod the heck out of it and turn it into a track car.

Offer $75K and ask them where you would be able to have the funds wired to...I doubt they would accept that but if they do great...if not they come back to you with their counter and you decide to go from there... the argument being the car is permanently tainted regardless of the quality of the repair...it stays with the car and when it comes time for you to resell the push back will be its had an accident

I would say you are definitely in the driver seat on this car because we're heading into winter and into a new year and then there is the issue of the accident. Unless the economy suddenly tanks I don't think 75k will work but 80k might do the trick if you indicate you are solvent and ready to move quickly. I look forward to seeing what kind of deal you can manage. A test drive is essential and try to get the car on a rack so you can see the under-panels. Hey what the heck start with 75k.

I called a buddy of mine who's an expert on Boxster Spyders, and he's saying $12 and a box of donuts for the receptionist would be a fair opening offer. Hey, don't shoot the messenger here, I just don't want something that's going to sit around the shop and collect dust.

Not necessarily only one color. I like the classic interior. If not a classic interior, then prefer black with red stitching and and door handles. No LWB's. I'm an 18 way comfort guy.
