Softronic 987 tune & new CA smog
Heads up 987 tuners!
I just went through another smog ordeal with my -06 RS350 and wanted to share.
This spring CA smog rules changed. Previously we were allow to pass with not completing the drive cycle for the EVAC and one more parameter. Now it's only the EVAC. That means that the Softronic tune I have (4.1) which disables the second bank of O2 sensors will not pass smog!
I have pinged Softronic about this and requested a tune that completes the drive cycle for the O2 sensor...no word yet.
Re-flashing to stock mapping, with the GT3 throttle body and plenum completes the cycle just fine.
