Lovely seats. Had them in my 987R.

Out of curiosity, the GT2 seats for the 9x1 platform are different than those for the 9x7 models?

We've seen some shops and forum members install these seats in 991's and 981's but sometimes there's an airbag light or some other hiccup, thus we do not officially approve them for the newer cars.

Still no definitive ETA on the LWB's for 991/981.

Yeah, it's aggravating. I wasn't able to order the LWBs in my 991 GT3 and have been waiting for them to be available to retrofit. Have seen 2 US spec 991s with the GT2 sport buckets installed and they bolt in fine. But the owners had airbag warnings turned off by un-named shops. Not clear to me if the seat airbags were disabled or not to get the light off.

+1. Awesome seats and perfect for high G force turns which seems to be frequent in these cars!

As said by others, these are wonderful seats. They are great for aggressive canyon carving and occasional DE use. If you are planning to do more than that on track, I suggest a dedicated track seat you can swap back and forth. These are not quite up to that task. In my opinion, you need higher seat bolsters to keep your thighs in place in high G turns. Given that these cars are probably not going to see that level of track work, these GT2 seats are perfect.

I assume you have the LWB's in your GT4? I would be interested on why you prefer the 997 buckets ...

Thanks in advance.

correct.....the 997 buckets fit me better. the 991 variant seems to be more "american" fitting. I am far from an elite athlete, but I run and swim daily so my clothing is usually more "European" cut and the 991 seats are too big to be effective for me. The 996/997 both are a little bit more snug which I prefer. In saying this, I dont daily drive these cars, so if I was, I'd probably prefer the 991. My background comes from karting, and I prefer very tight, very close fitting seats.

Love these seats, but really hard to justify the cost. If someone could make these for 4-5k, I think they'd sell every set they could make. I'm shocked that they haven't been replicated as of yet. I've seen knock offs of the old GT3 seats for under a grand each.

Love these seats. Just had to pony up for a 9/10 set. Hit the pocket book but I love them. Would I buy a set of knock-offs? Probably not. I like the real thing.

Zeus, looks like your avatar pic was taken in Stanley Park, is that right? Nice shot!

The seats are pricey to be sure, but what workmanship! True Art! Value is always retained in the real thing...
