i have a 981 Boxster. i use my phone for streaming music and nav (galaxy note 4). i have a 12v "quick" charger. when i use it in the glove box or center console storeage, sometimes it shows "Fast Charging" on the phone menu screen, but then it sometimes does not show "fast charging". i was on a trip (driving with nav and music from phone) and the phone would not charge and dropped about 1% every 3 minutes, and eventually i had to stop to let the phone charge (turning off all data and apps). this does not happen in my other cars. is there something about the 12v cigarette lighter outlets in this car that limits current or wattage? really sucks, cuz it makes using the phone for music and nav impossible.
