Based out of San Diego, California, HRE Performance Wheels, have been producing high quality wheels to the aftermarket world since 1978! Today we are known as the worlds highest quality custom made to order Forged wheels in the industry. Custom made to order wheels are simply put tailor made wheels built specifically for the vehicle that you request. We have fitment recommendations for you at a moments notice, or you can dictate your own fitment to us, and we can build to your exact specifications. The possibilities are almost endless with the choice of style, colors, and fitment, to truly make your own unique custom set for your ride. Not only will your ride look awesome, but because of our four decades of experience with engineering and manufacturing, you'll have a set that lasts a lifetime. This is why we offer a Lifetime Structural Warranty to the original owner - we stand by our product. All our wheels including our FlowForm series pass the rigorous TÜV Certification testing. HRE's manufacturing facility is also TÜV approved.
"To create the best you must start with the best". What this really means is at every step, we don't cut corners and are continually trying to improve our materials, processes, facility and team to make sure it stays that way. We start with extremely talented people to design and engineer every HRE from sketch to testing, programming and prototyping. From there, only the best materials are used from our forgings, assembly hardware and powder coats. Next, our artisans hand prep and brush every wheel by hand spending hours perfecting finishes that only HRE can offer (For example a very complex design like the P200 can take upwards of 3-4 hours being brushed by hand PER Wheel). From there our wheels move to a hand washing process that again shows the care and attention to detail needed to produce our finishes. It then moves to our in-house powder coat process which produces astonishing yet durable colors that complement even the most exclusive vehicles in the world. If it's a 3-Piece wheel, there's still more to do. After powder coating, a 3-Piece wheel needs to be assembled, sealed and checked for runout (making sure the wheel is perfectly round). Even our assembly bolts are designed for HRE by HRE and are produced in the USA by ARP. Before any wheel is considered an HRE, it goes through an extensive quality check ensuring it lives up to the HRE promise. And one of the most commonly neglected parts of a forged wheel is its packaging. This often leads to blemished and damaged wheels so at HRE, we don't skimp here either. Our packaging is specifically designed to keep your wheels safe regardless of how far they are traveling because we want them to arrive just as perfect as when they left.

Our Forged wheels are custom built to order, so if there's a particular size and offset that you request we can certainly build to that particular fitment. Each Forged set that we build we generally build so that it's the most flush fitment without any issues with having to roll fenders for example. It's not uncommon to also get requests for some who want OEM like fitment with the same width/sizing and offset, so we get requests all around for different fitments.

The GT4 is a very sporty car no doubt, it's like a go-cart, so the wheels that I would generally suggest are going to support that idea. There are wheels that we design more specifically around motorsport applications, so I would start with that first, see if you like that idea and if it fits, and if not then we trickle down to the next option. The wheels that you see which start with R - for example R101 or RC100 and RC103 - are going to be designated more for race/track. This doesn't mean that in order to actually enjoy your wheels you are only going to use them for the track though. What this means is that the wheel is optimized for performance by getting rid of weight where we can and should, but also strengthening parts, and also adding knurling on the tire bead seat (which helps prevent the tire from spinning on the wheel under serious stress). You may never think that you'll need things like this, you may never bring your car to the track and drive at a level that high to require those sort of things BUT, for the man or woman who buys a GT4, aren't you already in a category of going to the max? That's what the car represents so it's it's good to have a wheel that compliments the car both in physical form and the deeper sense too. So with that said, here are a few examples from the R series:
