When it comes to appearances I wholeheartedly agree with this. But when it comes to performance the Spyder sits a class above against its 2011/12 peers. I don't believe this was the case with the Speedster. But I would still love to own one!

Afshin that's a 89 speedster of a fellow enthusiast. Of course purely from a best bang for the buck ... the 987.2 spyder is hard to beat. BTW I switched from black to silver wheels

Very very nice! Again, we see the beautiful visual rake of the side window back onto the "power domes". What an exceptional car...

It's not always upside down. I just don't know how to fix it.

I'm traveling right now and don't have access to my records, but if you search "Boxster Spyder diecast" on eBay you'll probably find it. It came from Germany and red was the only color available. I plan to paint it silver to match my Spyder at some point.

Silver wheels over black, for sure.

Amar I think they both look fantastic but I have to admit the black looks the business on your red Spyder. I say keep them both if you still have them.

Awesome pictures, Amar. It's all about composition; and, you have got it right! As for the choice between silver and black wheels, in my view, it comes down to contrast. Not withstanding the fad, black wheels do look good with bright colors. Conversely, silver looks good with dark colors. Guards Red sort of falls in bright category, though ambient lighting tends to influence the perception. Here are silver and black wheels side by side with contrasting colors:

I would personally prefer black with Guards Red .
