Default My 2014 No Option Cayman

Hello,

Let me introduce myself my name is Matt Kleinstub, I'm a Porsche Certified Salesman at Beverly Hills Porsche. More importantly I'm an enthusiast just like everyone else. I started in the business detailing Porsches.

I wanted to show you my NO OPTION 981 Cayman I have owned for 6 months now. I have put a little over 6k miles on her.

Black Exterior
Black Interior
6 SPD
No options.

Only thing I have done to the car is add 20% tint around.

Such a joy to drive, even with no options.

If you want non-biased advice I will be happy to help just ask.

Nice to see others opt for the no to low optioned cars. I bought mine used with 7k miles on it. It's original MSRP was $60k and it only has a few choice options, the main 'expensive' ones being the PDK, Xenons, and Bose. I absolutely love it.

Welcome Matt,
I love the idea of the no-option Cayman (or Porsche in general). It is a sports car bargain. Enjoy!

Love it! I'm looking hard a base Cayman with basically just the sport suspension, sport seats and the sport design steering wheel.

Figure drive I'd that for a good while, and if I get the urge for more under the right foot when the warranty is up it would also be a great platform for a 3.8L swap. Figure starting with the 2.7 is safer for everyone and everything involved - especially my drivers license and insurance premium.

Enjoy in good health - I may take you up on the offer for opinions.

@FJJB , 2.7 is enough power for most people. Plenty enough power for me to get into trouble.. but I sure am drooling over this GTS in front of my desk

Matt, excellent choice. I bought a similar no option Boxster S in 06 and loved it. I would have only added the sport suspension to yours to make it perfect.

Matt,

love the no option Cayman! my 2.9 Cayman has minimal "frou frou" options and nearly 105,000 miles on it. Great driver's car.
It's twin has nearly zero options as well.

enjoy!

cheers,

Steve

+1 for the no options choice! Our 981 is close but we lost control on two options (not counting the N/C smoking package which gets you the ciggie lighter to plug the charger into).

MattK-
I used to live in L.A. & remember Porsche of Beverly Hills...it was a small place.
I currently own a Corvette Z06 & am thinking about getting a Cayman GTS.
I have two questions: (1) Where can I find a build list with prices and (2) Why are service costs so expensive compared to even a Corvette Z06, or any Corvette?
Thanks in advance.
