I like it, too. But, too bad Porsche couldn't find a way to incorporate some new colors and options into the basic car. The thought of a $95k Cayman is ridiculous in my opinion.

The press release said that the neat colors are the 4k 'color-to-sample' variation. Also, with 19" wheels, various interior options, etc. a typical Cayman S easily surpasses the price of a 911. For $90k+, I'll take a 911 S any day.

If you want a funky 70's style color, get Porsche Racing Green, Macadamia Metallic or Aqua Blue (each costs only $710) and save a bunch of money. In one of these colors, you can add Heated Sport Seats and new Xenon turning headlights and still be in the low/mid $60k's.
For $2,250 more (before negotiating lower) you can get the coolest option on the guide - Euro Delivery and drive your new Cayman S on the Nordschliefe!

The only options I consider mandatory are 19" wheels, LSD, Sport Chrono and Climate control. That car has an MSRP of about $65k and should be bought for about $61k. Throw in Paint to Sample and you're up to $64k negotiated price.

Once you have your spec, email or fax it to a few dealerships and ask for their best price - you'll be pleasantly surprised...

IMPROVEMENTS IN CAYMAN ENGINE 3.4

looks like enough "failures" happened for Porsche tomake serious changes to 3.4 a la 997.2 technology...
lets see how it holds out.. .

unless it's a CGT, GT3, GT2, TT, i would take a cayman S over any other variant of the current porsche line up.
well, if you need the back seat, then you will have to talk to the wife so she can move the luggage and kids around in her SUV.
