968 set up help needed
Hi,
I just put a new set of tires on my 968 ( Michelin Pilox Exalto N rated ) and had made a set-up check.
Mt local OPC made it following the factory parameters both front and rear.
Now after testing it for a few miles, seems that new tires and setting made the front of the car really nervous, I mean it react on every small bump and you have to keep the steering wheel really firm if you don't want to drift in the bump direction.
Is that the original behavior of the 968 ( 0' camber at front ) or I can switch to a better non stock set-up.
All sugestions are welcome

I haven't the print , but alignment has been made like the one reported on the porsche service manual.
I use the car for road only use no track.
My question was just to know if the nervous front is part of the stock set-up

No your alignment should feel steady and straight you should be able to take your hands off the wheel at 45 mph on a smooth straight level road with little bumps only giving a tiny shake to the wheel but not upsetting the straight line drive.
They alignment tech screwed up take it back and get them to redo it the factory spec is right for street use and back highway use twisties should not phase it. There is supposed to be 1 wheel having just a hair more "toe in" to make it be the strong overtaking wheel for no wandering around.
Hopefully they use a newer hunter laser alignment machine

The car gira straight until 45 mph or less then it start to drift right.
Set up was done with a modern laser system to factory set up.
Think is a bad tyre so next week I will swap front tyres lett to right and we will see.
After some talk with Porsche service they sugest to work on incidence to reduce a little wheelbase on the right side. I dont agree also if they say is normal on car like cayenne.
