I looked back thru all of the PETs for the 944 series. Strangely, it is not shown on the second generation diagrams either.

There is a screw and washer assembly shown on the first generation 944's Not sure that they will fit - but I'd be tempted to order them.

p/n's:

Washer - 900 151 028 02
Screw - 311 867 167

There is also a plastic cap shown as well - 311 867 169 a variety of colors are shown on Sonnen.

I googled that screw Jay and all the places that have it for sale shows it is silver so I don't think that's it.

I know my last answer was not that helpful but I am pretty sure it is just a sheet metal screw. You might be able to source it from a place that does other german cars, such as VWs etc. Sucks but pull the other screw measure and start looking.

Also, since it is a bracket attached to the body, maybe look in the body section of PET?

It might be NLA as far as original finish, I ordered a bunch of screws for the door panel on a 944 a long time ago from the dealer. Originals where dark, these while the same exact size were silver.

Jerry, just a thought but try fitting some of the screws from the door panel or side of the dash (faces the door) to see if any of those are the right size. I think the door panel screws at the top front and rear have the plastic caps on them also. You could probably look elsewhere in your 968 to find one that fits and then get the part number to order.
