My project race motor FS
Guys and gals, I am selling some of my 968 race motor project parts that were intended for my 944 track car. This is one of the projects I am not getting to any time soon. I have a baby on the way and I have dreams of racing my spec miata this year... Need diaper money and race tire money. I may have a local buyer for a short block but everything from head to intake is for sale:

I am open to all reasonable offers but I am trying to not loose my shirt on this deal.
Thanks for looking.

I think horsepower depends on all the other components, tuning, and ultimately your wallet. Pete from RS barn has been a huge help including spending an afternoon in my 32 degree freezing garage helping me with valve clearance measurements and sharing some tricks of the trade. I learned a lot and I also learned that I know very little about these motors compared to people who do this for a living. My plan has been to built a mild race motor making more horsepower that the current 944 NA power plant. I planned on using a stock bottom end and I think this would have made a kick *** 944 track car with good reliability. In terms of overall power, I would have to defer to RS barn or some other way more knowledgeable people than me.

Just curious if you stuck those components on a normal engine how much it would increase the power. Would be interesting. Down the road I would consider something like that.
