Default The "Matador" 968

Well, on Saturday the Matador 968 project arrived from Colorado, 4 days ahead of schedule. A lot of work here but better then expected overall. We've already started to assess the project and hope to get her running shortly. Then off to the body shop to see if she will live (if the frame can be straightened). The interior is amazing. I couldn't help myself and went out and cleaned up a door panel on Sunday. We'll keep you posted.

Looks like a great project. Hope the frame work isn't too extensive. Keep the pics coming!

Love the red/black two tone interior. Would look good in my white 951. Not so much in a yellow 968 though. LOL

I want it for my SY 968. Maybe it will help sell it.
Or, I want it for any of my cars. Well maybe not the purple one.
Do we get to see another door tomorrow?

How about the console?

Cleaned up nice. I remember when I first saw it the photo showed the console door missing and I thought, "how hard would it be to find a replacement matador red leather console door? Impossible!" But then he found it in the back seat! It is a great color and looks fantastic with the white. Would look good with black and maybe polar silver. Not so good with yellow.

Kinda fitting that the most bullish guy on the 968 would wind up with the Matador 968....

Now Bill, we can never be sure with you!

And you do know, somewhere in Europe there is a factory yellow and red porsche driving the streets. You do know there is a mint green cab with a cobalt blue interior!

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Can't wait to see the finished product!
