Why hasn't anyone bought this Yellow 968 yet?

Hi, I'm currently in the market for a 968. I would like one in a vibrant color. I understand that this might be a difficult creature to find. I went on the 968 registry and noticed the color to sample section. With all the metallic colors that have been located have been colors from previous 968 years. The cab in the German museum is probably Riviera blue. Could it be possible that this sun yellow Porsche is the only 968 factory custom color paint job ever delivered to the USA? Jeff do you concur?

Tommy,
Until I account for all the color to sample 968s I won't know for sure. FYI, I'm not 100% sure that the car in the museum is Riviera blue. It looks it, but the car is a 1993 and Riviera first showed up in 94. I want to get a look at that paint sticker to confirm. I know the signage says it is Riviera but it also says it is the last 968 cabriolet built and it is not even close to that. It is a 1993!
Send me an email at jeffery.coe@snet.net with your requirements and I'll put you in my "looking" file.

I bought this Sun Yellow Porsche 968. I'm an auto recycler and will be parting it out. It has lots of great parts. full adjustable suspension, big red brakes, roll cage, LSD, etc. Please contact me if you need anything for a 968.
Thanks,
James

I hope not. That is a valuable car in original condition. Make your money selling the non-original fully adjustable suspension, big red brakes, and roll cage, but then sell the remainder of the car to someone to bring it back.

Good idea sell off the "upgraded" parts then sell car to restore in fact I might be a buyer to get my car back I still have the stock black calipers, rotors, and suspension for that car in garage somewhere.

I'm confused! I don't understand. This car was for sale and no one stepped up to the plate and bought it. The first posts on this thread show that RL members were disappointed with its condition and glad they didn't buy it. What choice is there? I guess none of you can put your money where your mouth is!

Good news, I heard from the "real" new owner and he has all intentions of fixing up this special machine. james497 is probably a visitor from that site that has nothing but "negative vibes". You know the one.
