Default Changing wheel

I am looking to change the wheel on my new purchase 968. Anyone could help me on the specification of this wheel set.

I think the set is from 964, So I am not sure whether the wheel will perfectly fit with 968 body or not

Thank you

Those are polished speedlines that came standard on a 968 turboS. A new set is north of $7500 new if you can even get it.

Thank you for the information, the price for new is very expensive, I will try to find the used set first. Anyway the speedlines will fit with normal 968 cabriolet without any modification right?
Here are the photos of my car

To add to Raj's comments, the yellow car is wearing the versions with the polished spokes and the silver car is wearing the version with the painted spokes. And Raj's estimation of cost is very close - I was quoted 7600. by Sunset in 2012. Look alikes are available - I think Kinesis once manufactured a version. A friend of mine found his used on Ebay in very good condition.

The correct set of SLs will fit. Mine are like the set on the silver car - painted, and are actually not original 968 fitment but 993 Turbo 3.6 SLs. Front is 18 x 8 ET 52; Rear is 18 x 10 ET 61. They fit very well with no mods

RH Alurads are the best replica. Kinesis replicas are not the same and look quite different. As far as fitment, the ones from a 965 turbo fit our cars just fine. I run a set of 8mm spacers in the rear.

Raj, have you installed extended length wheel studs?

Cliff, not with 8mm spacers. I think anything bigger, I would have.

Now i am thinking in two optios
1) 17" Cup I wheel
2) 18" RH Alurads Speedline

I have seen on ebay, there are so many different offet for both size of wheel. Please suggest what would be a perfect fitment ET for 17" and 18" wheel

My understanding now is
For 17" Front ET 65, Rear ET 55 Cup I
For 18" Front ET 52, Rear ET 47 Speedline

For the speedline, As you guys mentioned, the fitment of Front 18x8 ET 52 with Rear 18x10 ET61 and Front 18x8 ET52 with Rear 18x9.5 ET47. Do you think which fitment is better between those two fitment ET?

Is my understanding correct?
Thanks

ET47 would be for 911 wide body cars. That would not work on our cars. Stick with ET61 for rears on 10 inch rims.

Check out this site, useful info:

I had a spare set of 964 Cup 2's lying around and put these on my CS. Fit no problem. Look a tight fit on the rear with clearance but perfect. Tracked hard and no rubbing. Front offsets 52 with rear 47. Wider track and looks the business...

Can I see the pics of your Cup2? Also do you have any pics of your CS with the wheel set.

LM, which Cup II has a ET 47? I'm not familiar with that wheel.

Chudson/Khunnammon, Good questions. Like the wheelweights link too. Below are the details of what was on the 968 (wheels that I removed) and what is now. Resulted in a slighty wider track. Also a side pic too (now dark metallic grey in colour).

Original Wheels (CS Cup 2):
Front - 7 1/2 J x 17" | wheel offset 65 | tyres - 225/45 ZR 17
Rear - 9J x 17" | wheel offset 55 | tyres - 225/40 ZR 17

Current Wheels (964 Cup 2)
Front - 7½J x 17 | wheel offset 52 | tyres - 225/50 R17 89V
Rear - 9J x 17 | wheel offset 47 | tyres - 255/40 ZR17 98Y

I'm guessing that the wheels you refer to as 964 Cup IIs are replicas.

Some small errors do exist in the wheelweights listing. It shows the 7.5 Cup II as having an ET of 63 when it is actually 65 as you noted in the specs of your original wheels.
