Thanks, I have spacers with extended studs. Never tried adapters, I still do wonder on the overall safety of using spacers/adapters.

Adapters won't help with the limited wheel selection we're saddled with in the Porshce world, at least in 17". The problem is that since our cars' hubs stick out a lot farther than other cars, we need wheels with unusually large offsets. Adapters will push the wheel mating surface out even farther, necessitating an even larger offset. I've never found an aftermarket wheel from any of the major manufacturers (Enkei, Volk Racing, Oz, etc.) with an offset large enough to work. So, it's either make do with the selection available for our oddball bolt pattern, or convince the kids college is a waste of time and spend it on a set of custom wheels. Still love your country, though!

I think I will go with a color like this. A little gimp editing, other than white, yellow, blue and black (and red) I can not find any other custom wheel colors.

Pick a color you like, try it. If you're not happy, peel and try again.
Ahh, if I had the time, I want to just do it once and be done with it!

I realize this is an older thread, but I figured this would be a good place to share.

In my opinion, the Carrera 2 wheels fit the 968 quite well....and they are light. I do have a theory to the madness which you can read about here:

MY02 lightweight are some of the lightest wheels if you want to go 18. They also go well with the shape.

I do like my rather lightweight MY2002 5 spokes per Raj's suggestion...

If you like the Carrera 2 wheels here is a set cheap. So cheap not sure they are real Porsche wheels but give it a shot:

Look like aftermarket turbo twist knockoffs.
