Default BB Exhaust?

I'm thinking of ordering a Billy Boat cat-back exhaust for my 968 Tiptronic.
The pictures on their site looks good.
Who has a BB exhaust under his/her 968 and can you recommend it?

I picked up a used one for the white car, it required no maintenance or repair over many years. Sounded real nice ( a buddy of mine called me up one time to say I had passed him on the expressway and the car sounded great ) and you can't beat polished stainless...

I have an early BB on one car. Looks good - sounds very good IMHO. I also have a later BB system but it hasn't made it to the other car yet so I can't give you the sound comparison. I prefer the tailpipe of the early BB system. The RS Barn system is also highly revered but I have never heard one personally.

I have one on my '93 and the sound is very Porsche! It just completes the experience of driving this car without sounding like it is aftermarket!
I love the round tailpipe look as well.

I have one on my new-to-me white 93' track toy. It sounds really nice IMO, though I only have stock systems to compare it to, I've never heard any of the other choices out there.

Cheers

The key is to make sure you get one with resonator. Otherwise the drone will kill you (no, not the one we use in Afghanistan).

Had one for a few years and was very happy with the quality and sound. When we turbo'ed the car I passed it along to Blue44, guess he was happy also.

This morning UPS delivered the Exhaust.
Very nice sound, perfect fit.

In the package is a new gasket as a replacement for the sealing ring.

The rear view, needs to be aligned a bit.

I'm happy with it, looks much better and it finaly sounds like a Porsche 968 should sound.

Thanks for this thread - my muffler rotted through on the bottom and I just ordered the BB Exhaust - can't wait to get it and fit it. Thanks for the info!

Can anyone with the BB exhaust post a video or .wav file where the rest of us could hear what one sounds like? Would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to make a movie file with my iPhone, but that sounds horrible.
For what it's worth: before I didn't see anyone turning their heads or make comments about my car. With the BB exhaust people are turning to see what's driving by and people asking what engine this car has. Also from the inside it's a pleasure to hear the engine growl, without being annoying. For your information I drive almost 200km every day with it since it's my daily driver. I love the sound!

Interesting that the tip of your tailpipe is identical to what I thought was my early BB and the tip of what I thought was my later BB is identical to the one shown on the BB website. I prefer the one you received. It has nothing to do with sound or quality but it's a little disappointing that the website shows the entire system polished to a chrome like appearance and what comes out of the box isn't. But they do sound great!
