What is the functional difference between the injectors for the 968 and those for the '91 944S2. I specify a '91 because those injectors were unique to that model year.

Call Marren Injection. They would know the answer.

If interested I have a spare set of used 968 injectors I can sell. Just send them to Marren for cleaning and you are good to go.

I have great experience with whitch hunter for rebuild and flow match.

I would only recommend Marren to answer questions. As far as service, there are much better places for that. I have had atleast 2 sets of injectors that were serviced by Marren that gave me problems.

Attached are the differences between the two. Could using the S2 injectors on a 968 head cause a smog test to fail?
The top part number is the S2. The bottom is the 968.

It depends on what dme you use. The drivers is what is important. Make sure your harness and injectors match.

Installed new 968 injectors today and the car runs smoothly. Now, all I have to is get it pretested for smog. Anyone know of a reliable pretest station on the SF Peninsula?


Anyone need a set of '91 944S2 injectors with only three months use since rebuild? Asking $250 for the set.

I have a set from a 1991 and they are 0 280 150 811, same as S and other S2 I believe.
