Local car. I believe one of the PCA members in Houston owns it. If you're on FB, I'd inquire about it on the Lone Star Chapter PCA page.

That's a nice ruf conversion. Maybe I'll trade my 997tt in for that ruf!

Definitely not a RUF build so who is to say what mods were done. They didn't make a BR. So not sure what they are trying to sell here.

The photographer for those dealer pics is a friend of mine (took my avatar photo) and knows the owner. Unknown at this point if the car is on consignment or the dealer bought it outright. He will try to chime in here at some point.

I struggle with (old) RAC being RUF...sorry...and I thought I knew a few things but never heard of a BR3.3? Photos look nice.

TT Surgeon, fly to Houston this weekend and I will personally pick you up in something interesting and we can go and look at this car. Wife's in Africa and I have a little more time. But IMHO I know your 7TT and would not trade it on this.

So other than the exhaust what makes this a Ruf conversion? If not done by ruf who did it. Back in the day all authorized Ruf conversions were done by Exclusive in mOntclair NJ. It would be interesting if the turbo S tail was a RUF piece which would mean it was made by the same company as the factory tail. If it was by changing it back to a stock tail they devalued the car IMO. Alos they note K24 used? was this a Twin turbo conversion? Otherwise why would you go from a K27 to a K24?

RAC was Ruf Auto Center USA '06-'10 I believe. Any Ruf conversion there came with full paperwork and certification from Ruf, no issue with those cas. This may have been done after RAC- Ruf split, I'd want to see the paperwork and check the vin with Ruf Germany.

I see. I know of Exclusive but he closed his doors before than. I wasn't aware of another RUf approved shop. IIRC RUF opened their own shop in 2010 or so and have been exclusively providing upgrades. My friend had his BTR conversion shipped over to Germany to have his converted by RUF which came with extensive documentation. I would still want objective evidence that they were approved during the time of the build and what was done.

So am I to assume that this was a twin turbo update using two K24 turbos. The ad is not clear.

My brother had the rturbo 550 conversion done on his 997 tt back in
'09, all paperwork etc from Ruf. I think a yr or two later they split, prolly bc RAC was pricing projects too cheap. I've been unable to get any info on this 964, I have the feeling it was just hotrodded by RAC post Ruf.....
