Funny that this car came up. I was just looking at it on the wholesale auction website. Didn't see any documentation for the RUF conversion.

I know, you're right.
Did some checking, car needs everything, can't verify Ruf conversion.

Too funny (well not really that funny) as prior owner (that gave to this dealer to sell) PM'd me directly stating it was in great condition, ran great and needs nothing etc!!! You find out it needs all? If your data is true feel like blowing the prior owner up..... but that is the problem with cars, hard to find out whom is being honest......

All second hand info, only your own ppi will tell for sure. It's been at least 60k mi since the rac work was done by my math, that by itself is a lifetime in these engines, so you know it needs at least a reseal, ( and you know it's never just a reseal....).
I'd be interested to know if the work was done while rac was Ruf or was it post Ruf, makes a huge difference. Still a great car, I'd be interested at the right price.

If it was by changing it back to a stock tail they devalued the car IMO. Alos they note K24 used? was this a Twin turbo conversion? Otherwise why would you go from a K27 to a K24?
Perfect Power in Libertyville, IL was also a dealer back in the late 80s and 90s. They are now in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Still checking, based on the receipts he sent me looks like they did a rebuild with a bunch of Ruf parts, but a true Ruf 964 BTR conversion probably wasn't done.....work in progress, will advise. Still a decent car, wish they kept the s deck lid......

So the turbo S wing is gone/sold?
Was it a OEM Porsche S wing or a fiber/repro?

Hard to imagine it was the real deal and removed then sold.

Exclusive was THE Ruf distributor for many years, although there was also an outfit in the Chicago area at one point that was a distributor.

I think the current/most recent distributor is in the Detroit area, and as you said opened around 2010/11. Not sure if they are still the active distributor but believe Ruf will be opening "RUF USA" in CA sometime in the near future.

At the end of the day it's a 120k mi modded 964t with a lot of Ruf parts, but a true Ruf conversion it isn't. Pity, bc at the time rac was a Ruf dealer and for a few more dollars one could've done a true conversion.
It will make somebody a nice project, given the time since the rac build, plan on possibly needing a rebuild soon. I'm out on this one.

1992 Porsche 911 964 Turbo Porsche Type 96555,487 Miles We are proud to offer for sale this exceptional 965 Turbo premium built sports car. These cars were built in very limited quantity, only 3600 965 3.3 Turbos were built. This is an original Black car and retains most of its original paint, and has never been crashed, and has zero rust issues. This car has had extensive modifications to make it the ultimate track weapon, but retains the ability to be driven on the street and to the track day events. Rothsport, a very well known Porsche performance shop, has done all the recent service work and performance upgrades. Body/Suspension 2650 lbs RSR Cup Suspension GT2 EVO Carbon Fiber Wing, Adjustable RSR Front Splitter Welded Strut Tower Brace Interior Custom Welded Roll Cage Sparco EVO Racing Seats (x2) Camlock Harness Belts (x2) Brey-Krause Seat Brace Aluminum Floor Plates Sparco Racer 2 330mm Suede Steering Wheel Shift Light Andial/VDO Boost Gauge Engine Tial Waste Gate with 0.9 Bar Spring Dual Oil Coolers GHL Headers Straight Pipe Exhausts Power Flow K&N Air Filter Drivetrain Guard Transmission G50 50/80% Limited Slip Differential Six-Speed Short Ratio Gear Set Steel Racing Synchros Lightweight Flywheel RSR Clutch Short Shift Kit Custom Build By Jeff Gamroth Brakes/Wheels/Tires Big Red Front Calipers Hydro Boost Racing ABS Kinesis Three-Piece Wheels (8.5x18 and 10x18) Hoosier R6 Tires (245x35 and 285x30) Brake Cooling Ducts Driving this car is an absolute blast! It makes all the right noises, the gearbox is amazing, the brakes are like dropping an anchor, and the suspension is firm yet amazingly compliant. As this car weighs 2600 lbs and makes 400hp it is not for the timid! Get it pointed in the right direction and pull the trigger, I promise you will love itThe Full Safety Roll Cage was built to club race standards. It is fully welded and padded, very professional and of proper quality. It features removable X-Bar door structures. These can be removed for street driving or installed for DE or Club events, this very nice feature to make this car truly dual purpose. Thedoor s have been gutted for light weight and additional room for roll cage. You could easily have a second set of doors with windows if you wanted, they would just bolt on. The suspension is very compliant and easy to live with, especially for a track set up. It is all fully adjustable for dampening and ride height. It does come with the GT2 Evo High blade wing as well. It really makes the car look wild! It has just had a full service and checked out, so it is ready to go. The seats are on adjustable tracks, making it easy for any driver to get the right position. You can only imagine the amount of money spent on this car, plus with the escalating prices Porsche, especially Turbo Cars. Please call us Josh or Matt for details We are happy to arrange worldwide transportation

This was for sale a while back. I think I met the owner once a while back at a DE at the glen but not sure. A bit rough I would say for the price.
