Collapsing Intake?

Let me go out on a long limb and say no way is the intake tube the problem. It is solid plastic. The elbow above it with the shut off valve is much softer. If you are seeing to tube collapse under pressure than it must be made of FUNNY STUFF! I would look elsewhere.
Must now wait to see if limb breaks.

If indeed the filter was clogged the car would be belching black smoke and stumbling like crazy. If not then I vote for your theory.
My elbow is pretty rigid, even for being 25 years old. One that was exposed to fuel or oil could soften up though.

Thanks for the input guys, I sincerely appreciate it. We actually watched the center of the tube shown in the pic I posted collapse while on the dyno.
I'm not sure what had happened to it as someone commented it had been modded with the rivets. This car received a RUF conversion some time ago (70k miles ago) and I'm not sure if they monkeyed with it.
The new Porsche part that came in is much more rigid and appears to have fixed the problem!
Thanks again.

I appreciate your help and interest as always.
I'll grab some pics of Cup Car, Panoz, and
WC- GTR off my FB page as that's apparently where I've decided every photo of the last 8 years of my life should reside.....
On that note - anyone else have a problem posting pics from mobile app via I-Phone?

Mike, Glad you were able to fix the problem. Anyway while cleaning the garage, what do I find.. similar air hose in great condition.
Not sure about the price... Any idea what this part is referred as so that I make a FS posting?
If anyone interested, can be yours for $90 shipped/insured.
Thanks
