Before I put it a way for the winter months on my last drive I started to hear a light metal to metal sound only while on the gas, at idle and revs its fine. I think I traced it down to the Turbo but put it away until spring to have a local Porsche shop to take a look at it.

Its not perfect has a little rust spot at the bottom of the windshield and some fading on the right rear quarter.
Any interior pics? Any chance it has sport seats?

Earlier in the week I picked up a pair of sport seat cores to re-finish when I re-upholster my interior next spring. I'm really looking forward to this project.

I agree, not many with those seats.

If you want the OEM leather, you can contact Southbound trimmers in UK he will sell you the 4 seat covers in OEM leather and you can buy the rest of the leather in hide "roll".

I'll check that out. Thanks.
I've got Classic Nine Leather Shop in my back yard and have known Bob Budd going back to before he started that business. I'll be talking to him too.

I am having Southbound trimmers do a Recaro Pole Position in the same 8YR leather in my Turbo 3.6 along with the exact replica of the embossed crest. My OEM seats will be in storage and to "preserve"

For me, the Sports seats in my Turbo 3.6 (original) are bar none the most comfortable car seats I have ever used. You should be very pleased with yours when finished.

John, I just remembered that your 3.6 has sport seats. That old video of your wife driving your car was one of my inspirations for acquiring them.
What happened to that video? I couldn't find it on Youtube.

Ah, that video.
I had forgotten about it. However I do remember getting some negative feedback on the speed or lack of it. My father drove in this one

Danny Sullivan used to own a 3.6. He said "I didn't drive it that much because I knew I was going to jail in it. That's because everywhere I drove it, the car was so phenomenal. Every time you'd stand on the throttle and go womp-womp-womp you'd be doing 100 mph in a 25 mph zone. When I sold it, there were less than 1000 miles on it, but 900 of those miles were at over 100 mph."
Maybe it was better that everyone was driving it slow. It wouldn't have gone well for your wife if she went womp-womp-womp and turned that guy on the moped in front of her into road pizza
