964 Turbo S Lightweight

30 CSL, I will try to get the VIN for the Register, although the Japanese (and Japanese privacy laws) are guarded about this sometimes, especially prior owner information which is particularly difficult to obtain. I am also curious about purchase price. Will revert back.
Where can I get that 3 spoke steering wheel, I saw one with the gold porsche crest somewhere on the net.
One solution could be having it reupholstered at/by Porsche Classic / Exclusive where they can do "Porsche" or 'Turbo" on the rim and in any coulour ! Link below : an example where you can find such a wheel at a German Porsche parts specialist ( wheels also to be found on the German e_ay ).

not the same steering, Yannick ! - bad leathered - anything else but a strong buy.
You find the correct leathered ATIWE 32 for Porsche at Porsche Classic Online store.

Thank you for flagging it Norbert Was indeed too quick in sharing first link found on the Internet without having had a serious look at the wheel !

I drove the car this past weekend, part of regular maintenance, and it just continues to deliver. DRIVE - strong, perfectly sized, and surprisingly supple given the car's design brief and its age. I drove a 997 GT2 RS the other weekend, the Leichtbau's spiritual descendant, and while the 997 is a marvel of engineering, and off the charts hp, safety, comfort, and linear power delivery, it just did not connect with me the way the Leichtbau does.
BUILD QUALITY is just deeply impressive. Side by side with a new Porsche of similar color, I could not tell which paint job was newer. Yes, the car is well cared for, but it is over 22 years old, and in all my years of ownership I have had zero problems with the car. Nothing. In contrast, all my newer cars have had updates, recalls, fixes within the first few months of ownership, without exception, including the Porsches.
Even the car wash after the drive became enjoyable. Hope you enjoy the pix.

Turbo S vs 3.8 RS or RSR
To me I much prefer the style of the TS
I don’t like the tail on the 3.8 and I love the X88
rear air intakes. But performance wise wouldn’t take 3.8 RS be a better engine especially on a track.
Do they have the same gear ratios?
I’m guessing the Turbo wins in a straight line but power is more useable on the RS.
