Compare the outer rims of the 2 wheels

The first has multiple steps from center of edge
the latter only a single step.

It appears that the Speedlines may have been built around a center designed for 17s, The Forgelines center was designed for 18"

As for weights
Speedline Alissio
18 x 8 ET52 25#
18 x 9 ET50 25.8#
18 x 10 ET65 26.5#

GT2 Speedline 993
18 x 9 ET34 22..66# 993.362.138.81
18 x 11 ET18 23.98 # 993.362.142.81

964T Speedline
18 x 8 ET52 25.388# 965.362.136.00
18 x 9.5 ET47 26.752# 965.362.138.05
18 x 10 ET61 28.6# 965.362.140.00

Forgeline GA 3R, w/ Ti. hardware
18 x 8.5 ET54 21.25#
18 x 10 ET65 22#

@Bill Verburg I think cobalt posted his rsr style deep wheels and the reflections make it look that way but the shells look the same to me in regards to the basic number of steps. There are some subtle differences as most modern 3-piece wheels have the hardware centered on the flange of the shell but original speedlines seem to have them injust off center.

Edit: Looking closer, the shells are definitely different - Forgeline of course using the shells that they use for all of their wheels (and most other manufacturers as well).

I just happened to be moving the RSR wheels to a different storage spot and took a pic of the 11" ET5 rear RSR speedlines when this thread showed up. I was showing how the arches in the center are different than the speedlines. More rounded. The Speedlines could use some weight reduction. I used to be able to lift these to the top rack far more easily 10 years ago.

If only Volk would reproduce the TE-37 in 17"! Love my BBS and Cups, but get jealous everytime I see 911 Jared's car on his Volks.

What measurements are you running? How wide, what ET and how much camber?
