No luck contacting Mark Smith? I would guess this will take a while. It took me a year to find my turbo back in early 2000 when they were plentiful and RS 3.8 doesn't come up for sale but once in a blue moon so to speak.

I am assuming anyplace in the world will do?

Canepa did indeed sell this white car recently, but not for $350,000. The first digit was a 1 after the $, followed by six more digits before the decimal point.

You will find the last public sale of this model last September at RM in London, which was right at $1M at the time.

Finding one today under $1M means you're willing to accept substantial mileage, non-original paint in whole or part (the RM car mentioned above had been almost entirely repainted) and overall driver quality. Collector grade examples, which are almost impossible to find, are well into the $1M.... range.

Really nice 964 3.6 RS's are changing hands these days for $350k, far more common than the 3.8 RS.
