I had mine done at Auto Glass Now at 1258 W Grand Ave, Oakland, CA 94607. I brought my own windshield gasket, and they ordered the Pilkington windshield. Without my asking (forgot), they reapplied anti-rust and did a great job with it. The guy also inspected for rust and said he didn't see any. Total after tax I believe was about $500, not including the $50 for the gasket.

Well, since this thread was brought back to life, has anyone else used the Pilkington Glass? I'm assuming this, along with a genuine Porsche gasket works fine. I have heard some replacements dont fit. My dealer wanted $1400 for Porsche Glass. My glass isnt broken, just pitted.

Update:
My body shop is very good and deals with a lot of foreign classics and they have a windshield installer so I went with them versus Safelite or my local glass company. The main reason was that the others could not source Pilkington glass. I gave my body shop the number to Pilkington Classics
and they ordered it direct from Pilkington and they sent it freight to the body shop. I used a Porsche oem gasket from pelican and the fit is perfect. $700 installed. If you go to Pilkington's website, they have a phone number for classic car windhsields.
Safelite uses Sekurit which some say is a tad small for the 964. The Pilkington glass has no fit issues with the oem gasket.

^^ Sekurit I believe is the same mfg as OEM. At Safelite I believe they used a Pilkington glass for my replacement + OEM gasket. Have had no issues (cost about $500 installed).

Sekurit is made by Saint Gobain and safelite told me that's what they have in stock. I asked if they could source the Pilkington and never heard back from them.
Rennlist and Pelican is my guide... There are a few posts about new sekurit glass being too small. No bad Pilkington posts. We also know that the OEM gasket is a must. I didnt want to take a chance and made sure I got Pilkington glass and purchased the oem gasket myself.

Yup, I have the same one, though I probably would have gone with Sekurit/St. Gobain if they had it in stock given it's OEM. I think I saw somewhere that Pilikington is also made by the same folks, which is why I used what they had in stock.
Also make sure they put in a slather of anti-rust when they're in there. Mine had none, but they reapplied some stuff at my request anyway.

I took the old windshield out myself the day before the install to make sure the channel was clean and done right. There were 4 spots of rust under the gasket. I cleaned everything up... Hit the rust spots with POR15 starter kit... And touched up any non rusted bare spots with touch up paint.
