Can you tell us where you get your numbers? Agreed though, none if the cup1 options are in anyway light.

Not to hijack the thread, but is a set of Mille Miglia Replicas worth $600 shipped? They are black with some light scratches on the face (no curbrash) and I would need to get them refinished and painted OEM silver. Seems like pricing on the replica Cup 1 wheels are all of the place.

Thanks

MTR- That's an okay deal depending on how you feel about the finish and if they have been professionally checked for runout. Refinishing wheels isn't that cheap.

Freedman, that site lists the factory 7.5/9 set as 23.4/26.0lbs and the MM wheels as 24.9/28.0. That doesn't explain your +4.4/2.2lbs either. Let's try not to make things up.

l've weighed several sets of MM wheels and they're all consistently at 24.6/27.0lbs. That's even being a little conservative. My barbell weights all measure in 0.22lbs over on the scale, so the real MM weights are going to be closer to 24.4/26.8.

I sent a note to the fellow that runs that wheel weight website to have him update the MM weights. He said he would, but maybe never got around to it.

FVD has posted the MM wheels weigh 25.06/28.64. They've also said that they weigh 24/26. The heavier numbers could very well be for the early 23/15 offset versions, which add a 30mm chunk of aluminum to the wheel.
