The H4 housings have a much better lens. I have a car with H5 and one with H4 and the H4 are a much better and usable light pattern. I have halogens, not LED in the car.

There's a good thread on Pelican about installing LED bulbs in H4 headlights. The bulbs of choice seem to be Phillips X-treme.

I also ordered a full set of exterior LED bulbs on Super Bright LED's. My intention is to improve the light output especially on the taillights. I'll post some before and after pictures once they're installed in a new thread.

Love mine. Now that i put them in right side up! Nice cutoff. Thought i wasnt going to like the whiter light but it looks much " cleaner" than the dingy halogen lights.

I've installed Francois' LED lights on my '91 964. I'm pleased with their appearance and the light is so much better ! That said, I don't know what to do w/ these "extra wires"- the rest of it is plug and play but what about these two wires- blue and white. I just emailed Francois and he's been excellent in terms of communication, etc. 2 issues: 1. its not easy to line up the screw that holds it all in place especially w/ the new thick gasket included- right now, no gasket ( she will stay out of the elements) and 2. high beam engages BUT I cannot shut them off! Only way is to turn the lights off and start from scratch. The regular stalk attached to the steering column works to turn on but not to turn off. Related to my "extra wires"? Any help appreciated Thanks All.

this is the end result related to the previous pic/ post. What do you think about the chrome rings ?While I'd agree it does not "go" with the rest of the car- I do like the way it looks. May switch back to black at some point. I guess I will have to wait from the vendor to tell me where I went wrong.
