Default Lower side skirts and rear bumper black or matching colour?

Hello,

My 964 has the lower side of the side skirts and rear bumper same colour of the car, usually 964s have this part painted in black.

At first sight I was happy of it but after a better analysis of the side view, the line appears heavier without the black line, what do you think about?

It's personal choice but I think personally it looks odd especially if the front bumper lower lips or undertray is black the continuity is broken up yellow rear bumper yellow side skirts black front bumper trays.

But it is a personal choice others on here have gone for the same look saying it makes the car look like it is sitting lower.

If your car is black, you don't have to make a decision!

I think a car has to be set up fairly aggressively with a tuner look to pull off the painted sills. On a mostly stock car, black at the bottom is best.

I painted mine a while back, but now I'm thinking about going back to black using some vinyl wrap. I think it'll look better with the Ruf lip.

The sides, bottom of rear and front bumper can easily be covered with vinyl. If you don't like it pull it off. Easy said easy done. Instead of just black you could do a carbon fiber look.

I love RUF lip, do you know where to buy it at reasonable price?

I was thinking to use plastidip but wrap actually can be easier, thanks for the suggestion

I bought a rennline fiberglass copy. It's cheaper but needs fiddling. Haven't fitted yet but will at some point (too narrow as is). Not sure if I would recommend. If I had to do over RIGHT NOW I'd probably go ruf for the 500 or whatever.

For the sills, mine seem to be factory painted (1993). I assumed mine were factory and most others were as well. Apparently not? Interesting. I thought I remember a phase of folks painting them a while back. What's old is new again.

Can someone upload a detail picture of the transition from colour to black in order to understand where to start the black line?

There is a character line that divides the two finishes. Below the line is black.

Side skirt:

Rear bumper:

Front bumper:
