Yup, that looks like it.

Those are really quite pricey aren't they? I could practically get a whale tail for the car for the cost of those Singer look spoilers...

At high 30's, that car needs a PPI. At high 20's, run to the bank. If you decide you don't like it, you have 3 page of people in this thread that will take it off your hands for what you paid. Good luck!

Well, the good news is I drove the car. Bad news is the rebuilt distributor still hasn't been installed.

So the power was definitely affected. Despite that it drove nicely, no strange noises or clunks. Suspension felt tight. All the electrics worked, AC worked.

Some things I noticed were the sunroof deflector doesn't pop up correctly, rear deck struts are bad, engine is weeping oil (not enough to make any real mark on the ground), is due a valve adjustment and oil change, front windshield was cracked and the oil temp gauge wasn't working properly.

I'm waiting for the distributor to get replaced, then I'll drive it again. If it has the power it should I'll have it inspected and buy it.

I would have a full PPI done no matter what. There is a lot of crap out there for sale that has been freshened up to look better than it is.

GL I hope it works out for you.

Definitely having a full PPI done. It's not worth it to me to buy it and then discover it needs thousands of dollars of work that a PPI would've caught...

You shoiuld really log into cargurus and autotrader and you will see why eveyone is telling you to buy it asap even if it needs lots of mechanical and is rust free. I am in the market for a 964 Coupe and you ill be shocked at prices if you start searching internet sites and very limited options other than C4s. If you have more than one kid they will have to go to community college and live at home if you buy any other 964 other than that one.
Good luck.

Hey Josh-
Good luck with this car - hopefully it works out. I've had my 964 (Turbo) for a little over 4 years and they are well built machines - and fun to drive, no doubt. At this price you should just buy it - and knowing how you go through cars when you sell it in 2 years you'll make money on it.
PS I wash my car next to your office every few weeks. Hope all is well with you.

Ok, update time. Talked with the owner on Friday, distributor made it into the car. I was going to go drive the car on Sunday but in talking with the owner about pricing, he wants ~$10k more than I was told.

The car isn't worth that much, I've identified a few thousand dollars worth of needs and I've always found at least another $2-3k worth of things after I've owned the car for a little bit.

So between his asking price, paying for tax/title/tags plus the necessary work (even with me doing it myself) I'd be into the car for mid $40k's.

At the $28-30k range I was hoping to get the car for, by the time I took care of all the needs and TTL, I'd be into it for about what its worth....

I'm going to try and talk to him again today and explain my reasoning for price, if he doesn't accept it, well, I'll just move on.
