If ou mean the forged ones, then yes, it was the std wheel for that car.

I managed to get a complete set for quite cheap.
They are chromed... That'll keep me busy this winter, making them original again.

Got one dechromed by a pro chrome shop. Worked great, the wheel is perfect for primer and paint.

Any chance these were also used in later 964's? I have a '93 C4 with an interesting note on the option list (Special chassis w/M393) which in some option code lists reference 16 inch Clubsport wheels. I always though these were only "early" 964 wheels.
FYI it has 8 and 9 17" Cup 1's on it currently and no reason to think they weren't original to the car but who knows.

All the ones I have are dated 06.88.
I have a hard time imagining them built any other time. References to them are so rare.

I have no idea if that is actually what the option code refers to, but I assume the Club Sport wheel was also made for the 928 GT about the same time. Wonder if the offsets are compatible?

The original PET and the parts microfiche has them superceded to the 01 part number so like all the various 964 wheels, the design was slightly modified, the newer design produced and the older forgotten about.

Which is also why I think they are a one-order deal that never made it to the series cars.

Fascinating topic! Sometimes a supplier gets nominated as development supplier for a wheel but then another one gets nominated for production, which means that the design of the wheel has to be altered according to the supplier technology.
What did also happen is that some wheels get designed for winter use and all concavities get reduced in order to avoid salt accumulating in those areas difficult to clean... (then marketing decides not to add them to the options)
Is that an explanation applying here...dont know...but thanks for sharing them....

I have 911 Carrera 4 Leichtbau parts catalog in my possession and just verified the part number and sizing information given above.
You can find that here:

964.362.116.01 is the part number of the bone stock, series 8X16 D90 wheel.
That Mg crap has been going on forever, yet no one has ever documented an Mg D90, nor found a credible part number.

Nice job! Looks like they even masked of the lug seat areas, like they are supposed to.

So I guess we can now conclusively say the C4L has just the normal D90s?

Came across this set for sale in Germany, Same wheels as mine. I have enough (in fact I only miss *one* 6X16 for my 2nd set).

Just in case someone is interested.
