Default Overhauling a 964 c2

anyone can advice what parts i would need for overhauling my engine.

My car which has not been started for a 2 years can't start and the mechanic are saying something is stuck in the engine and they have to open the block

Car cranks but something is jammed.

They have asked me to get an Overhaul kit.

Anyone can share what the overhaul kit consists ?

From my limited knowledge, its usually the Head gaskets ? anyone can share the list and where i can buy the entire kit ? i guess pistons rings would need to be change too? am I correct to assume this ?

Whatever an overhaul kit is, it doesn't sound cheap

I think you may want to see what is wrong first then get the parts to fix what you ( they ) find.

Start with new mechanic. "Something is stuck" is not a diagnosis. You will save yourself thousands when you find a qualified mechanic that knows these engines inside out.

Thanks!

Yes. That, and when he says you need a new lateral prestidigitator and a whole new set of titanium wankelators.
