Default Fuel gauge issue?

Hello,

i noticed few days ago problem with my 964 fuel gauge.

I Noticed this early topic https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...-fixed-it.html
And now i cleaned that sender unit, and it seems to work normally. Control unit Bad?

Fuel gauge rises up when ignition on, but after few secs it drops down and stays.

The fuel sender is a simple variable resister. Did you check the resistance values at bottom and top while you had it out? If you leave the sender disconnected, does the fuel gauge stay at the top when the key is on?
