Default C4 abs light on , can I drive

I guys,
I have the ABS light on after driving for 5mm
Lots of brake fluid in the tank, pump is ok.
Not sure what's wrong , is it just a sensor ?
I need to drive the car, is it ok don't want to damage anything in the AWD system, ??!
One last thing it seams that the AWD switch is not responding , you know when you hold it for 15 seconds to lock it to 32/69 % ... That can't be done ....
Thanks for your input

Well kos. On trackday at RBR last autumn, i got the ABS light (incl. beeps) when having a big drift. I did two (slower) laps with light on and the beep. Went to the box, restarted the car and everything was fine again...
No problems after that happening with the AWD system...

Perhaps you`ve a bad ignition cable... they are said to cause strange behavior with the 964 christmas tree...

I've just been through this myself and it ended up being the coils - just like everyone suggested.
In the meanwhile I also checked wheel speed sensors, battery ground strap, ABS control unit connector...the list goes on.
Good luck.

close the garage door, use the water sprayer from your wife, start the car (in the darkness) and spray fine water over the running engine... Then, you should see/hear where the bad cable could be...

As in the ignition coils? Those give you the ABS light too? Darn why haven't I read of this before!

Yup, the ignition coils.
It was giving me ABS and diff light combo with alarm...but I think symptoms vary.
One of the coils was completely corroded inside and out.

Shouldn't need to hold it for 15 secs, I seem to recall that disables the PDAS. You only need to turn the switch c/w and release to operate the diff-lock.
