Default Unbelievable turn of events!

I am still in shock!!

The unimaginable just happened to my friend with his 911SC this weekend in Monterey!

This ended a great weekend for a good friend of mine who ran the Pacific Grove Concours Auto Rally Friday. On his way home, disaster struck as his car sputtered once and he pulled off to the side of the road, re-started and got going again only to noticed smoke from this side view mirror. His wife was a few hundred years ahead and was backing up when he had her call for FD. A few cars stopped to help out as a the dry brush started to flare up. Eventually had to open the frunk to disconnect the battery as it tried to crank over on its on.
It's a shame as he was preparing it for sale and just had a few things cleaned up on it and this would be it's last 'fun outing'. He's working on the details this week with his insurance and hopes it's not a total loss. I hope he restores it to even better condition, because the color is really beautiful.

Thanks for the thoughts!

Anyone interested in saving this from the 'crusher'?? My friend is on the fence about buying it back and selling as-is?

PM quick.

Thx
