Default They can't do this can they?

https://www.sema.org/news/2016/02/08...-into-racecars

If this goes through it will kill off a huge industry and how many of us have gone past the point of no return.

What is next telling us we can't drive our vintage cars on the street because they pollute to much and don't fit their ideal of how a car should perform.

I sat on the hot rod industry alliance for SEMA for five years... Seems like something similar to this would come up every year and every year it would just kind of go away and you wouldn't hear anything more about it. No protests, no news, no nothing... it would just go away... and I always wondered what was going on behind the scenes.

I guess we will see by July 2016. there is a thread in off topic that has more info and some concerning points.

Of course I finally built the car I wanted for track use and it might end up converting back to a street car afterall.

Its the EPA. They can do it by edict. No congress say in it at all.

This is already making the rounds. PCA national has been informed and no doubt every other club out there. They can't kill a 63 billion dollar business without some serious stink.

NOW is the time to get off your asses and either call or e-mail your Congressional representatives.

NOW is the time to stop dithering and take a moment to send these people a strong message to change the law that the EPA is commissioned to enforce.

As a member of several industry groups, I've let them know my opinion as have thousand of others in the automotive aftermarket, giving them a big voice on this critical issue.

Congress needs to hear from each & every automobile enthusiast to enable them to restrain the EPA on this one. No time for apathy,...........get it done!
