Early gauges - just a question
Hi,
probably a stupid question (sorry), but I have seen quite a few 964's backdated and one in particular on saw on this forum used early 901 911 SWB Instruments.
So, I was wondering if those gauges would hook up to a 964 existing dash? I know physically, they are the correct size, but for example would it be a matter of just connecting the wires?
Like I said, probably a dumb question !
thanks

i was wondering if the old needles worked on the newer gauges or if anyone manufactures stainless style needle caps. i think the older needles may not be illuminated though

You need the warning lights.
If you want the old look, send them off to Palo Alto or north Hollywood speedo and they will make the 964 gauges look like swb gauges...

i know that PaloAlto and N Hollywood Speedo will do the same....for less money too, i'd assume....I keep going back and forth on this...I love the early gauges with Green accents, as well as late early gauges with red/white/chrome accents. Just wonder if they'd look out of plan on an otherwise stock interior.
