Looking for a 964 Distributor
Long time lurker and first time poster in this forum. I own a 1990 C2 Coupe. All original with ~66K. Car was running funny, really rich. Took it up local trusted indy, since I don't have a scanner. He is telling me that the Hall Sensor is fubar. Since the 964 has the sensor integrated into the distributor, wondering if anyone has either a spare distributor which I can pillage for parts or a working spare that I can potentially purchase?
The cheapest I found so far is: Part Number: 0986237900

I've read up on various forums and understand that it can potentially be the wiring as the hall sensor doesn't have much which can fail on it. I trust the indy as he has many years working on Porsches and only Porsches. He is testing everything and making sure there are no other potential aspects to this problem.
Also, considering parking it for winter and installing a standalone engine management (SEM) instead of the DME for this kind of money, any ideas? (I can install a system and tune it over winter, but hate detracting from a car which is all OEM).
