Detroit (Michigan) chapter of W9O
Greetings,
I've been in touch with Frank Pereire of the World 964 Owners group, W9O. It would be great to start a D9O chapter and in order to do so, we need to schedule a meet/ event.
I really have no idea how many 964 owners are in Michigan, so I'm posting this as an indication of interest. No cost, no commitments. Just a poll of interest. You need not be in Detroit or anywhere near it, actually. We're best to keep it to Michigan, however.
Anyone interested, please respond to this or PM me. There's a German car night in Plymouth, MI this Friday and the Concours America is this Sunday. I'll be on the lookout for 964s.
Thanks!
Tim

There's no registration. We simply need to hold a meeting of 964s and do a write up on the event. This gets submitted to W9O and we're good.
Was thinking if there's interest, a meet in late August gives time to increase awareness. The purpose of this post was to see how many interested 964 owners there are in MI. There's no set number needed, but I suspect we can get a group of 5 or more together.
Any thoughts?

We should have it on Hines drive. In one of the zillion parks they have on it. My girlfriends Dad is president of MG rowdies here in Michigan, they have a lot of members. He might know how to organize some stuff.

Got it, just spectating. I didn't register. Shouldn't they pay me to have my car parked there as a display attraction? 😉
