A good C4 sells for 35-40k. Have seen a bunch for 29-35k but nothing I would buy. I see many many for 45k+ that are joke prices, though in sure some actually sell for those numbers...

Special cars and low miles aside, if I were buying today, I'd be looking for a well sorted car with 100k+ miles that has all the right work done and in the 35k arena...if I were looking to look at it in my garage, low miles and pristine and will never see rain or snow...45k+...but that's not me.

There was an 89 c4 in Arizona that looks like just sold with 135k miles, most of maintenance records and 15k miles on a fresh 3.8 full rebuild. Guy was asking 28k, I was day late and dollar short as they say. They are out there but 964's are very hard to find

My '90 C4 Cab with hardtop and a fresh rebuild may be out there for sale later this year - waiting on rebuild. I know most people want coupes, but maybe the convertible with hardtop may still be desirable. Hopefully prices continue to stay in that range. I really want to keep it, but if the market price is enough, it may be out for sale.

Let me know when that comes up. If I'm not interested I may know someone who would be.

Thanks again for all the input, I think I'm getting close. Going to look at this car over the weekend.

I'd love to know any thoughts on the car, choices of modifications, and price.

The last one here sold for $100k
Bought late last year , car had been advertised but hadn't sold , when I was cashed up twisted his arm into selling , was cheap by world standards ( especially UK) , but only a dozen were ever bought here so very rare and most change hands unadvertised. Strange market here at times ,cars that would be snapped up anywhere else in the world can often sit for ages then often get snapped up and exported , then everyone realises how cheap they were once they are gone. Market is slowly waking up though....

JonnyIndy, it looks nice and decent mods in my opinion. Cannot speak about price, but seems to be owned by someone that knows these cars (reference to using Brad Penn oil). PPI is key if paying that much.

Seems a tad steep, considering no mention of top-end or engine rebuild. Looks nice, though.

I think the silver one looks good. Still plenty left to modify should you like to.

C4 Vs C2 debate is as old as the hills...
Ultimately on the road there is very little difference. If you like track work definitely look for a C2 if not either will work just fine for you.

rightly or wrongly.

in line with 3.2s i.e. 80k although there are none on carpoint at the moment (yes, none!) so it's a seller's market. Site unseen sales are becoming the norm with buyers afraid to miss out

Sounds like if I decide to sell, I should ship it to Australia.

Yep, although you'll have to wait until it is 30+ years old.

1 of 1 964 currently for sale:
