NE90: Northeast 964 Owners. New York, New Jersey, Connecticut 964 Owners : Meets
A bunch of people have been throwing around the idea of starting a group along the lines of the London and World 964 Owners in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut area. We can keep this thread active for a roll call to see who is willing to participate. Meets, drives, detail sessions, mechanical sessions, or whatever comes up pertaining to the Tri-State area can be posted here. Although there is a regional and meet section of this forum, there is very little foot traffic to that part of the forum. There are Cars and Coffee meets in the area, and the Metro NY PCA (which we are probably all members of) is active, but something specific to Porsche and less formal and official than the PCA is needed. Let's get a roll call started and kick this thing off. If you feel like hanging out.. Post it. Going to Cars and Coffee.. Post it. Hosting a detail session.. Post it. Dropping your engine and need a hand.. Post it. Know of a car event and want a group of 9's to roll with.. pick a meeting place and post it. You get the idea.
I'm down. (obviously) lol. I'm on the east end of Long Island and open to anything in the tri state area. I know Ammo mentioned a possible detail session and someone else mentioned a Bear Mountain drive. Let's do this!

I've been wanting to do this for a while. So let's get moving. I'll be heading up to Watkins glens for the SCCA races July 4 weekend.
So that's the first meet. Everyone in New England, New York, and New Jersey needs to ditch their friends and family this coming weekend and get to the glen!
We can wrap hotdogs in tinfoil and cook them in the engine bays of the cars. Someone needs to bring a cooler in a support vehicle. All that liquid and ice is too much extra weight to carry.
I try and attend most Bergen County, NJ Cars & Caffé events. The Bear Mt. run is one of my favorites. The 964 is one of the prettiest 911's, it would be great to see a group of these together in NYC area!
The next Bergen County Cars and Caffe is Sunday July 19th 9:30 am - 12pm. Location is yet to be determined but let's put this on the schedule for those who can make it. Coordinate meet up points with people in your area and we can all meet up there.
