I'm not seeing anything average in those pictures ... glad you went for it regardless of the first set of pics.
If it's not a thing to be loved, then you'll love the way she makes you feel.
Best 911 I've owned and only owned one watercooler along the way. Both at the same time actually, and the 964 always was the one I gravitated to.
Enjoy the experience and the miles.

It's first fill up! Going to enjoy her in the stock setup until the first of the month; then Marty can have at her. Only clocked 20 miles so far, but its incredible to me how much different yet so similar these cars are from the modern day 911 of which I also enjoy. I love how small the dash is. Incredible. Anyhow there will be plenty updates as I start putting on the miles and make this one my own. I see a lot of good times ahead.

Let the games begin! I'm sure you'll be at the gas station real soon again...
+1 I love seeing the different generations next to each other. It a wonderful mechanical development story.

The documentation on this car keeps blowing me away. Anyone from south Florida will dig this; I just looked at the key chain for the keys, and its the original from champion porsche with the 305 area code number! That part of the city went to 954 area in 1995. So cool.

Thanks. I hope I don't annoy everyone with this whole process. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Can't wait to get home later and go through the owners manual which I needed to use today to figure out how to open the gas cap! Truth be told I bought this car not only sight unseen but I have never even driven a 964 or any aircooled car for that matter.

Keep it coming! We're your support network... only we can truly understand. Can't wait for the driving reviews!
You're smart to drive it a bit, then mod it (sharpen it up).
You're going to be ecstatic with it once it's back from the shop.

Congrats! I know that feeling of being a kid in a candy store. And a year and a half later, she still does it to me. Puts a smile on my face everytime I see her and drive her! Enjoy!!!

Great story. Finally the 964 is getting the respect in the market it deserves. Won't be parting with my 93 anytime soon.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these for the turn signal. I called porsche parts and they are telling me its part of the harness which is 600. I switched to clear lights yesterday and in doing so I think it got damaged. When the headlight is on, the signal light is always on; works fine when the lights are off. I swapped it to the other side that was working fine and then that side didnt work properly and the other did. So my guess is the housing for the bulb is not working. Was working fine before I switched to clear so my thought is perhaps I damaged it when I was trying to get the bulb in. Seems crazy that this is not just a part.
