Default Tool Kits and air compressor

Does anyone have photo's of the correct tool kit and compressor for a 92
964? I am trying to put together for a newly purchased car.
Also any ideas of what was available in advertising for this year?
Thanks

The RS America.net website has some good photos of the 964 tool kit and all of the details.

As for the tire compressor, my 1991 has one similar to this

I have seen this and the later version with the detachable flashing light used on the later cars. Also the kit pictured is missing two small pieces. It should have a red or black small nozzle or blow gun type attachment and a small brass piece. They are pictured in the one on the RSA registry. My 94 came with the same compressor shown and red attachement. My 93 928GTS and 93 C2 came with the no light version and the red piece in black. There are also gloves in a yellow plastic bag and a plastic drop cloth that should be included.

Original toolkit roll and contents as per page 1 of the katalog. Most of the original tools (they wern't actually that high quality) typically lost or replaced with later, better tools of the same - which maybe isn't a bad idea. Many of my original tools I've moved to their own draw in the toolchest.

As a side note, my PO cut off the cig socket plug and installed mini banana clips to go directly onto the battery. Prob will make my life easier if I ever have to use it but was very surprised to see! Was this common back in the day?

Both of my cars still have cig socket connectors on the compressors.

I have seen people do it but if you need your compressor that often you might consider buying one that works. These are fine for an emergency but take forever to fill a tire. Harbor freight has one that will fill a tire in a third the time for under $15 on special.

Good info but hopefully I'll never need to use it.

Cobalt, Can you like that compressor from harbor freight. Can't find nit on their site. Thanks!

This unit sometimes goes on sale for around $15 you have to catch the deal when it comes up or possibly become a club member and then they offer it for deep discount more often.

I sure could have used that pump for my spare yesterday. Had my first flat in the 964. I found the jack okay but no tool kit or pump for the spare. Where exactly in the frunk are they supposed to be located? I can't believe I could have missed them.

Wheel jack is stored in the recess behind the front bumper in the frunk. The tool roll is typically tucked away inside the space saver wheel or lying around in the trunk (like mine).

The 996 space saver has/had a foam moulded insert made to hold the jack and jack brace. Looks pretty neat. Part # 996 722 101 00. Not sure if this was an option or standard.

Agreed, I don't trust the OEM compressor and I have one of these as an emergency kit. You can get the 20oz bottles pretty cheap and refill them at any paintball supply shop.
