My ashtray door will not stay closed ... Any diy tips to fix it or does it need to be replaced? Does anyone have one for sale?

i think you can adjust the degree to which the front piece (dash like) is set with 2 screws
but it maybe your spring/tentioner is not correctly positioned

Easy fix if same problem as mine. Small plastic piece to the right must be held tight against the tray so that the rounded end fits in a slot when the tray is pushed back in. I'm away from my car otherwise I would post a pic.

I have the same problem. Interested to hear thoughts. It does make a good cell phone holder however.
