Fellow Minimalist Builders: Racepak Smartwire PDM
I immediately thought of Rob, Captain Ahab, and all you other guys that have been working on minimalist builds.
Not sure how long it's been on the market... But it looks like Racepak has released a solid state PDM, similar in many ways to the Motec unit. I really wish this had been available before I started putting my car back together, as I absolutely despise the factory US harness.
I would love to be able to ditch the whole nasty harness and fuse/relay box situation. Oh well... Perhaps whenever I do a full strip?
$1800 vs $2400 for the Motec unit.
