Race Car
My 964 has been my daily driver for ages. So here's the thing. I want something to use in the rain and to leave outside and trash, etc. so it's either a 996 C4S or an Audi. Kinda says it all, cuz I don't care either way. Neither makes me excited. Love the 964. Wish I could have more of them.

I too like my 964, a lot, but for a really good time...
a 3.2 with a 915 !
The '86 and earlier 911's are the real deal for serious drivers.
If i feel like driving a modern car I choose the 964. It too is
a lot of fun but the rawness of the earlier cars is missing.
The 964 is more of a car, the older 911's are machines that one has to operate, not drive.
Where the 964 really shines is at the track!
Of course, your impressions may differ.

Three Wheelin'
I was already planning to go for a Sunday drive to nowhere. After reading this I am now a little more exited. I know of a green 964 coupe that is sitting in a driveway for years, flat tires, taillights falling apart etc. What a shame. It's a 91' stick, and only says 80k on the odo. I guess I will drive over there and knock on the door again. They never home. Now I have a purpose to my drive.
