Default 964 to 964RSR Project - JõuJaam

Another interesting project going on in our workshop.
Aim is to build "street legal" trackday 964. Why street legal not full race car? Owner enjoys driving on SPA, Nürburgring, Bilsterber etc. He doesn´t only want to enjoy the car driving tracks but also to track and not on a trailer.

So we started 12.03.2015

SPEC LIST:

Body:
RSR look vacuum infusion carbon bodyparts. Weight of parts should be approximately 1m2 = 1kg
-bonnet
-front bumper
-brake cooling ducts instead of fog lights
-front fenders
-side covers
-rear fenders
-rear hatch with spoiler
-rear bumper

Lexan windows, except front screen. Door windows with sliders.

Interior
CrMo rollbar
Sparco seats x2
6point harness
Dash covered with alcantara
Lightweight door panels covered with alcantara

Everything unnecessary removed - no carpets, sound system etc

Brakes and axels
993 Turbo front calipers
993 rear calipers
Custom brake cooling plates
Braided brake hoses

KW3 Clubsport suspension kit with solid top mounts
Powerflex Black series bushings
Uniball Front and rear drop links
Electrical power steering pump

Engine and transmission
Link Engine Management
-COP ignition
-AFM delete

LSD differential
Powerflex Black series transmission mount
Custom shifter
Light weight flywheel
Sachs SRE pressure plate

Many solutions are not yet decided, so i ll keep updating the list.

Beginning:

Not right now. In future - we are thinking about going for 3,8 upgrade, more aggressive cams etc. This is also a reason why we use Link ecu.

Yes these are indoor parts. Will add pictures as soon as parts are ready for installation.

Just a heads up. I am doing the same build to a 90 C4 converting it to RWD. It is much more work if the tub is an 89-90. also source factory flairs if you can using 930 parts works but is a royal PITA with lots of modifications.

I looked at doing that but it was going to be way too much alcantara. Just did the door tops (and dash of course)

This will be wicked!
Cannot wait to see your progress.
Started a similar project here in Northern Ca, down to the big red 993 break package.
Having the fenders fabricated in steel is proving to be challenging.
More pics!!!
