license plate bulbs
Anyone know what bulbs are used in the license plate lights?
Everything I see is to replace the entire unit, I just want to replace the bulb.
festoon maybe? Like the trunk, lid, glovebox, and dome lights?

Search for Vandit's big reseal+ post and towards the end of it he has LED license plate bulbs listed and a source. I followed his lead and the bulbs worked great.

You are right that the license plate bulbs on the OE rectangular license plate light units are the same as the interior doom lights, front trunk light, and engine compartment light.

Note the bulbs I use for the license plate are for the old style light units that are required for the RS bumper, not the rectangular lights found on most 964s.
