Default Blast heat exchangers? presure wash?

I'm going to clean my heat exchangers while they are off to replace an oil line.

Sand blast? Bead blast? Walnut shells? Pressure wash? Magic elbow degreaser?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I've cleaned mine with parts washer solvent to remove any oils but have not tried to "shine" them. What is your ultimate goal? Are you planning on showing in a concours?

Power wash may clean them up nicely. How bad are they.

You could walnut or glass blast them, but frankly I would just pressure wash them. Anything else is overkill unless you plan to paint them.

My objective is to clean them well while the are out, no concourse activity here. Stop any oil/grease smell from them and facilitate diagnosis of any future leaks after the re-seal.

Looks like a good pressure wash should do it.
