I've never seen the car in person but I've watched it on CL for months. It seems priced fair enough that you would think it should have sold by now.
this is odd...
clearly not a 964 gas tank or fuse panel. maybe its a scam? I cant say

price is good. I think it is worth a look in person. there is some black duct tape on the engine shroud so there could be more "fixes" like that potentially driving the price down lower.

When I was looking for a 964 I looked everywhere so I often saw the same car listed twice at a much lower price as a scam. It's impossible the car has an engine rebuild and they are selling it for $20gs and it's not sold after a few days.

Car looks like a total disaster, what about it looks remotely promising? As an aside the fuel tank photo is clearly not this car.. Not worth pursuing at almost any price.

Googling the seller's phone number reveals he has been actively selling 911s on The Samba and C-list for some time. I'm guessing he mistakenly uploaded a pic from one of his prior cars.

FYI, having gone through the same process. People on here will generally **** over pretty much any car that you bring to attention. Less than 12 months ago people were telling me to skip a 964 cab with 100K for 13K because of "electrical gremlins" or some such nonsense.

If I ask opinions about a car, I don't want someone to blow smoke up my ****, I get that at work on a daily basis and get paid for it. I prefer to hear about what others are seeing that I am not, the worst case scenario so that I can make an informed decision and see if it is worth pursuing. I am sure this is the same reason the OP is asking about this car so that he doesn't walk into a rats nest, and the final decision will ultimately be his.
With that said, duct tape in the engine compartment is never a good sign but that's just me, other opinions may differ!
