Default 964 Aero Mirrors

Hey Guys,

I have enjoyed reading the posts on this forum, but I have only posted a couple of times on this. I have a 1990 C2 Coupe that I purchased in the summer of 2013. I was hoping to convert my mirrors over to aero mirrors, but I have been having trouble locating them. Does anyone know where I should begin looking for these? Additionally, how difficult is it to install these?

Here are some pictures...Thanks in advance guys!

There are a few sets on eBay right now, and I was considering selling mine. They seem to be going for about $500. Makes you like elephant ears suddenly!

Yes biggest problem is marks left over from the square seals or if the door has been painted around the old seal.

IIRC the flag is a 5 wire and the aero 6 you have to cut the flag mirror harness and combine two of the aero mirror wires together using an aftermarket connector but easy enough to do.

If you need the wire diagram I have it someplace.

Flags are cool, and correct for your car as it's likely an early build date.

I used to LOATHE flags on 964's... I worked at the Porsche dealer during these years and remember LOVING the aero mirrors on the then new 1991 964 Turbo and be excited that in 1992 all 964's would have those mirrors. We threw away a lot of flags for customers trading them out...

Now fast forward 24 years and I own a 964 rocking flags and one rocking aero's, I kinda like both...

I like both. Right now I prefer the look of the Aero mirrors. I plan to keep both as I respect the originality of the Flag Mirrors. I have kept my D90 wheels and original suspension components if I ever want to go back to 100% stock.

But right now...I am craving those Aero mirrors!!!

You could have Aero on the Left and Flag on the right?

I would keep the flag on the driver side so you could actually sort of see whats behind you

I think if you want to run D90s then you can keep the flags....if your running cups then you need the Aero mirrors....just to keep it consistent. If you want it to look super cool then find some deep dish D90s with the flags and that will freak people out.
